3 Ways to Stay in Touch With Online Clients & Never Miss a Thing

As a trainer who does both online training and in-person training, it can become difficult to keep up with every single client if you are not organized.

Running your own business on top of training clients can also become hectic and crazy, because not only are you taking care of current clients, but you are trying to run and grow the business at the same time. As a trainer in this position, I have found a few tips and tricks that have helped me stay organized and make sure I am taking care of all of my clients, while still allotting time each week to grow my business.

Here are a 3 tips I found to help make the most of your time and stay on top of everything & everyone without skipping a beat.

1. Schedule Everything and Use Reminders

On either Sunday night or Monday morning I make sure to add all important appointments, phone calls, reminders to check-in on clients, personal workouts, etc. into my phone, so I am prepared for the week. I make sure to set reminders for every event, for example I know I have some office hours Thursday mornings and use this as a great time to check-in on all distant clients. I set reminders for Thursday mornings so an alarm comes to my phone on Thursday’s for all the clients I have to re-program of check-in on. I even set these reminders on a recurring basis so once you add them initially, they come to you every week. We all have our phones with us 24/7 so why not use it as a tool (other than social media) to keep you organized and focused. The last thing you want to do is get to busy and forget about clients! Especially your online clients, they should never feel neglected or like you are too busy for them!

2. Try Recommending Voxer to your clients

What is Voxer? It’s a great app that I use with not only my friends, but my clients as well. This app turns your smartphone into a walkie-talkie, so you can leave voice notes for each other. It’s pretty much like talking on the phone, so it’s more personable than a text message or email, but you can also send messages when you are free. I really like this app because hearing your voice allows clients to feel more connected to you and it feels more like a relationship, even if they are on the other side of the world.

Keep an eye on your Trainerize Overview Screen

This is a great feature Trainerize has, to keep you on top of who is doing their workouts, who is coming up for program renewal, even your business growth. I am sure to take a glance at this screen every few days just to check-in on my business stats as well as my clients. I find that keeping this as a constant tab in my internet reminds me to check-in when I am on my computer, so never hit the “x” and you will never forget about your online clients.
